The Aardehuizen (“Earth Houses”) is Europe’s first neighbourhood of Earthships, an extremely ecofriendly type of house design pioneered in the 70s by Michael Reynolds that focuses on:
- Self-sufficiency
- Low ecological footprint
- Buildable by amateurs
