The Public Interest Law Center hosts many events to educate students about public service, celebrate our public interest community, and prepare students for careers in the public interest. Check out NYU School of Law`s calendar of public interest events and other interesting events. January-March 2023 About 30 to 40 law firms traditionally host one-on-one events for NYU law students in preparation for European Immunization Week 2023. All event details and RSVP instructions are available when registering in the OCS/JCO/PILC events calendar. NYU School of Law`s Public Interest Legal Career Fair is the largest event of its kind in the country. Last year, the fair welcomed more than 230 public interest employers and more than 1,600 students from 21 law schools in the region. Whether you are looking for a permanent position or a summer internship, the Public Interest Legal Career Fair is an effective way to connect with employers in the public interest. Vanderbilt Hall, Tishman Auditorium Participation in this event is required to meet with a private sector consultant or participate in private sector interview programs. Learn about the 1L job search process, job search resources, networking and interview techniques. Private sector guidance counsellors provide information and advice on the legal market. Participation is recommended for students who are only considering a career in the public sector during law school and after graduation. The Meltzer Center is pleased to collaborate with law school groups on events that align with our mission. If you would like the Meltzer Centre to sponsor an event with your group, please complete a survey. The Public Interest Mentorship Program is organized by the Public Interest Law Students` Association (PILSA) and is an opportunity for students to learn and inspire each other. Mentors are second- and third-year law students who are committed to public interest law and the NYU legal community. Throughout the year, they share their job search strategies, articling experiences, and advice on courses, clinics, magazines, and student groups with new law students. The program serves approximately 200 law students and helps organize social events in the public interest.

CSM/SYMPLICITY ACCOUNT The Career Services Manager (CSM) is an online portal used by NYU School of Law to law-nyu-csm.symplicity.com/students private sector, public interest, and government job postings, employer events, job search workshops, links to employer research papers, on-campus interview information, and a variety of other career resources. Please bookmark or bookmark the website to facilitate future references. Please fill in the mandatory fields and profile as much as possible so that counsellors receive up-to-date information about your job search preferences. You can update your profile at any time as your professional interests change. To ensure you receive notifications about public interest opportunities, turn on the Public Interest option in your employer`s settings. If you are interested in an office worker, please check Judicial in your employer`s settings. Use this portal to upload your resume, transcript and cover letters for easy access.
