Utah Legal Services

Utah Legal Services (ULS) is a nonprofit law firm founded in 1976 that is dedicated to achieving equal justice by providing low-income Utahns with free legal assistance in non-criminal matters. We create a level playing field and ensure that everyone has a voice in the legal system. We are a law firm that provides low-income families with affordable legal representation and assistance with divorce, parentage (custody), guardianship and protection orders with special programs for victims of domestic violence. Since 1971, the Utah Legal Clinic has provided high-quality, affordable legal services and civil rights advocacy. Our team of knowledgeable and experienced lawyers resembles traditional law firms, but without the associated costs. Utah Legal Services is a Legal Services Corporation (LSC) Fellow. We are required to inform donors that our funds cannot be used in a manner inconsistent with the Act respecting the Société des services juridiques or section 504 of Public Law 104-134. The Act and regulations are available at www.lsc.gov. To ensure the safety of our employees, clients and candidates, our programs have updated procedures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Further information can be found on the pages of the individual programmes.
